does karma defy free will?

Karma is created by free will...choice always is.

To me, karma is what is presented to you and then you choose what to do with that! Then that creates karma and you choose what to do with that.

Does that sound good?

i believe that we create our own reality and therefore NO karma should not defy free will.

i'm working on deepening my understanding of karma at the moment. the challenge for me is that the word karma is commonly used to imply some kind of "punishment"... i don't believe that Source/the Universe/Creator/God (whatever name you are comfortable with!) is into "punishment"!

i would love it if someone could help me out with a really clear definition of karma and some insight that (hopefully) gives me a deeper understanding of it.
