Jan is an entrepreneur, club operator and personal development specialist who has worked in the UK health and fitness sector since the mid 1980s. He is the founder and Chief Executive of Energie Fitness Group which operates a chain of owned and franchised clubs in the UK with a rapidly expanding pipeline both at home and overseas. Jan and his team have, in only three years, established Energie as the fastest growing group in the current UK market place with twenty five new franchises and nine club openings in the last fifteen months. Additionally the team won the Citizen New Business of the Year Award 2004 and a prestigious nomination for the BFA Franchise “Brand Builder” of the Year Award 2005.
Jan travels extensively and is in high demand as an effective and dynamic international speaker. He has presented at major events over the last decade and has trained and advised some of the UK’s leading leisure operators. Jan was a Finalist in the 2002 and 2006 UK Entrepreneur of the Year Awards organised by Ernst & Young and sponsored by CitiBank, Vodafone and the Times Newspaper.
